Oh...poor blog.  I'm here, you're not totally forgotten!  The shop is still the same as usual, only the products change.  All the information for the shop is posted daily on the Facebook Page---Stickled Pink, LLC.  I know there are still some that choose not to use facebook...I don't blame you.  It's a life sucker.  I have posted quite a bit on the page lately with some projects and I hope soon to link it all to YouTube with some videos.  The holidays can be a busy time of year...time for family (if you're lucky), time for friends, (if you're lucky)...and time for giving (and you are lucky if you can do that wholeheartedly), and it is also a time of reflection.  For me at least.  My kids are growing older, my home is becoming more and more worn in by the day.  My hair a little bit more grey each time I look in the mirror...I think to myself, "time flies by way too fast".  If anyone knows the recipe to slow time down please tell me...I'll buy bags and bags of sugar and flour, I'll put on a baking hat and even measure stuff...I just need a little bit of time to catch up.  Maybe I can do that after Christmas :).
Recently something happened at a school in Connecticut.  A terrible, senseless thing that took many children away from their parents, way too soon.  Futures were ended before they even began and it makes me think more of my life and what I'd like for my babies.  I just want them to live without fear, to enjoy things blindly like I did when I was their age.  I know realities, I just had never thought that when I had children of my own that the reality would be that they don't live in the world I know.  They don't live in a world where street lamps rule your playtime.  They don't live where Pac Man was the coolest thing ever.  I know what it is like to go to school without worry of anything other than possibly getting a "C"...and lordy forbid, a "D".  That's what you worried about.  Grades.  Who you were going to sit with at lunch.  Not about someone coming through the door that didn't belong.    I hope this holiday season Santa brings some peace to the parents and family members who's realities have changed so drastically in a flip of a switch.  I hope for them, the recipe for forgiveness and strength.  I wish that they will get some hope.  To everyone, that is what I have best wishes for...hope and love this holiday season.  Merry Christmas!!
